Neuro meeting update 5/4

​If you've been following these logs you know that even the title of this entry scares me.  If you read my earlier post about damage to the brain you would know why.

In a nutshell Jo's amazing PICU Dr. got it right.  And that is good.  

The left side is damaged - known from day 1
The right side has small spot - also known
The center has a small spot - also known
Specific limitations because of all of this - unknown (Jo will show us)

Now the part that lifts our hearts as parents and gives us the hope we need to make it through the rest of this journey.  Focus your prayers and positive thoughts on these three statements being true!

"Respiratory and heart function appear to be unaffected" this is still something that will be closely monitored, but from the nuero perspective nothing could be seen at this time.  Today those words were said by the Dr.

"when he wakes up" ...4 words that we've have been dieing to hear a Dr. say.  Today they were said by the Dr.

"when he gets back home"...5 words that mean the world to us.  Nothing is guaranteed, he is still in critical condition but those are sweet words to hear.  Today they were said by the Dr.

His recovery process will be slow, can't be rushed, and he is not out of the woods, but if you give me the these 3 things, we can conquer the world.  

It's time to end a journal on a high note.  To our friends and family don't stop giving us your energy, positive vibes, and prayers it means the world to us.  We cannot thank you enough...
